...LIBRARIES WERE EMPOWERED TO UNLEASH THE POTENTIAL OF MAKERSPACES?

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
Katelynn Scott and Renate Cumming will share stories of how they created and grew the Makerspaces in their own library settings and about the importance of the Maker Movement in libraries. Attendees will then have the opportunity to rotate through Maker Stations to experience various pieces of technology firsthand, create projects that can be recreated in their own libraries, tour virtual Makerspaces, and view extra project ideas. By the end of the session, learners will have a better understanding of how Makerspaces and Maker programming increase the digital and technological literacy of patrons, and feel comfortable to launch Makerspaces in their own libraries.
Boxed Lunch will be served from 12:00 to 1:00.
Sponsor: DLA/YSD/DASL
This program is worth 3 contact hours of continuing education.
